The Hilton Balice Team proudly took part in the night Barbórka Run, contributing our symbolic support to a shared charitable goal — purchasing Christmas gifts for children from the Family Foster Care Centre in Kielce.
The centre’s beneficiaries are children who, following official interventions, are placed in safe and temporary foster families after being removed from difficult and harmful home environments.
The challenge awaiting our hotel running team was to cover a distance of 5 kilometres — and for extra atmosphere (and difficulty!), the run had to take place entirely in the dark.
As the organisers highlight, “a holiday so deeply rooted in Polish tradition cannot happen without runners”, which is why our team enthusiastically gathered after dusk at Kraków’s Błonia meadow. Together, running and jogging, we completed the 2025 Barbórka Run distance with healthy rosy cheeks and warm smiles on our faces.
In sports events and challenges, beyond the fun, the most important element is the idea and the willingness to help — and all funds raised through these activities support charitable projects and the mission of the Coś Dobrego Foundation in Kielce.
